Marlon secretly married Carol Parker August 8th 1975 but the news about Marlon’s secret marriage didn’t leak until months later.
Jet magazine reported about the marriage in their January 1st, 1976 issue.
Right On! Magazine first published news about the marriage in their March 1976 issue and disappointed reactions of fans kept streaming in the issues thereafter.
Marlon was the fourth Jackson brother to marry after Tito, Jermaine and Jackie respectively.
According to Right On! magazine, Marlon married in Vegas and was now living together with Carol in Marlon’s one-bedroom apartment in Woodland Hills. They also claimed none of the brothers knew Marlon was getting married and that the family did not wish to speak about the marriage once the news got out.
Marlon is the only one of the Jackson brothers who is still married to his first wife today.
