March 23, 1977 - The Jacksons from left: Tito, Michael, Randy, Jack and Marlon relax and catch up on fan mail in Memphis for a concert the following evening at Mid-South Coliseum. The day before, the singing brothers from Gary, Indiana, visited Woolco's at the Southgate Shopping Center. The store's assistant general manager estimated the crowd at between 6,000 and 7,000. The flock caused an estimated several thousand dollars of damage in the process, but no injuries or arrests were reported. The Jacksons have been in Memphis about 10 days, taking a break during their two month concert tour. (Richard Gardner/The Commercial Appeal)

hmmm very interesting info.. never knew that date before.. several books said the Memphis Woolco thing was after the London concert on May 24th!

It says taking a break from their 2 month concert tour- and they didnt go to Europe till May so they must have been playing in the states Jan, Feb so some of the chicago photos that have no date must have been then. Even this tidbit is not accurate as the photo had to be the same day as the Woolco visit as Michael is wearing the same shirt. I think the day before they were at the radio station (22nd) and thats when they decided to do a broadcast from the shopping center the next day (guessing...) Michael wearing different shirt at the radio station.
