Hey MJFAM,
I want your honest opinions on what lines should never be crossed when writing MJ fanfics/fantasies. I myself don't write any but I read them a little more than occasionally and some of them I find very disrespectful. For instance, some writers made Michael into a wife beater, statutory rapist, criminal (he was smooth but never a criminal)and gay/bi (I don't have problems with homosexuality) but Michael has publicly stated that he was NOT gay. Have any of you ever read fanfictions or fantasies where Michael was portrayed as any of the above? How did it make you feel? Have you or would you ever write one like that?
Am I right to feel that Michael is being disrespected or am I only exaggerating?
Recently, a fantasy was written on YouTube and Michael was portrayed as a sexually confused teenager who had a girlfriend but did sexual stuff with his male best friend who was gay. So called fans started to QUESTION Michael's sexuality based on this pretend story they were reading. WTH?! They don't sound like TRUE MJ FANS to me.
Let me wrap this up. Now I know these stories are only fiction and people have the right to freedom of speech but do these people really and truly LOVE Michael like they say they do when they portray him in thier stories as something he was absolutely not? Did they cross the line?
Your thoughts,
-Tahje #L.O.V.E

Personally I think fantasies about Michael should stay in our own heads. Yes people have the right to write them but I prefer not to read them. Portraying someone as a rapist and wife beater sounds like a warped kind of love to me. With the gay fiction it's probably the writer's own sexuality that they are exploring. I would say if you read a story and your instinct tells you it's disrespectful then it is.

Thanks for replying Thrill, I agree with you completely. I got caught up in the whole debate and realize that everyone feels differently about the situation. I think it's best for me to no longer read them and remember MJ for who he really was.

If MJFam are going to write MJ fantasies/stories fanfics, then write it respectfully in the way that it honors and portrays Michael the way he should be portrayed. And that is with dignity, love, respect, and royalty. Michael is pure sweet love and writing on such negative and twisted topics about Michael is clearly disrespectful especially when we already know how Michael is and his precious personality and character. So, if writing a MJ fantasy, be creative in love and honor of our guardian angel and even make him blush sweetly....I love you AppleHead, our MJ  It's all for the sweet love of you Michael
