Hello to all members, I am mamaspearl..."my mother always liked me best".  I'm so glad I came across this forum (thanks to J5 Collector) and I like what I'm seeing.  I've been a Jackson 5 fan for quite some time.  I'll never forget the first album I had was The Jackson 5 Greatest Hits.  At the time my sister and I were given the album, I was 7 or 8 years old and this was around 1980!  We had a record player that had multi-colored lights inside the speakers and the louder the music the more lights would shine through the speakers!  Pretty cool huh?!?  I'll never forget dropping the needle on the first track, "I Want You Back", in a split second I was caught up with the piano intro and fell into the groove of the wax.  This was the best piece of music I had ever heard, kids my age singing like that! Oh this couldn't be!?!? From that day on, I was hooked!  I wore that lp out and will never forget running home from school to play my new album by the Jackson 5...this was the start of it all and I have to thank my Dad! Thank You!

I look forward to reading as many posts as I can and added a few tidbits myself.  The forum is very well put together, and all those involved in taking the time to share this wonderful forum, deserve a round of applause!  Great job and keep up the great work!
